Plate (1) - Chinese export - Porcelain - Hunt - Joosje te paard - China - 18th century
Modelled plate with raised, lobed edge made of Chinese porcelain with a typical hunting scene, also known as "Joosje te paard", Kangxi period or just after, 18th century. This scene from the Kangxi period is also known as the love chase and the well is decorated with riders and horses hunting game. The edge is decorate with continuous lotus flowers and vines with valuable, looking like a rosary. The back features an edge with stylised flowers. The mark on the base is an apocryphal Chenghua period mark inside a double circle.
The diameter of this plate is 18 cm
The condition is very good. The edge of this plate does however have a few filled frits.
