Ferrari - 348 Challenge - 1992
This car is a prestigious Ferrari 348 TS Challenge from 1992, 1 of only 2 ‘pre-series’ made.
In 1992, driver A. Marasco alias ‘John Wayne’ prepared this 348 TS in ‘racing’ version (not yet Challenge), to participate in the GT circuit with no. 9 and various sponsors including AutoCapital and Sa.Mo.Car., bringing back an approved GT Ferrari in the race after 20 years of absence of the Prancing Horse in this category.
From this event, in which this car is the protagonist, the successful Ferrari Challenge series actually started.
This 348 was the real promoter of the series and Ferrari itself took its cue from this first ‘race preparation’ to create the ‘challenge kit’, which later became the official supplied by Ferrari itself to participate in races.
In 1993, it was prepared with official Challenge kit and it participated in the 348 Challenge circuit with no. 12, followed and sponsored by dealership and workshop Sa.Mo.Car.
