The Louis Poulsen (PH 80) floor lamp was originally made in 1974 and is inspired by Poul Henningsen's (PH) design. It was launched after Ph's death on the occasion of his 80th birthday, hence the name PH 80. The lamp provides a soft and comfortable light and is particularly suitable both as a reading lamp and cozy lighting. The diffuse, symmetrical and glare-free light of the lamp also makes the PH 80 lamp perfect as general room lighting. The majority of the light is directed downwards, and the opal acrylic shades provide comfortable room lighting. The red hue of the top reflector helps give the light a warmer glow as well as atmospheric lighting.
