Rare plate of 25.6 cm in diameter made of LONGWY Enamels. Cloisonné enamels of great finesse, enhanced in 24k fine gold. “MASSENET” series designed by Maurice-Paul CHEVALLIER. Marked on the back: “Création M.P CHEVALLIER” “EMAUX DE LONGWY - DECORE MAIN - MASSENET - FRANCE” + Holly emblem with the Crown. Shape 3301. No. 9, RIS (references of the worker who made the plate). Maurice Paul CHEVALLIER was a well-known artist at the Faïencerie de Longwy from 1925 to 1972. He was also Artistic Director of the Faïencerie in the 1930s. Secure shipping from France (Colissimo), registered post with insurance, tracking and signature required upon delivery, within 3-10 days depending on the destination.
