On the canvas: Albert Leopold Clemens Marie Meinrad, Prince of Belgium, Duke of Saxony, Prince of Saxon-Coburg-Gotha, was King of the Belgians from December 23, 1909 until February 17, 1934. On February 17, 1934, the King is killed in a fall from the cliffs in Marche-les-Dames, hence this canvas as a tribute.
