Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531/2
In 1934, Zeiss introduced the famous Super Ikonta cameras. These had a coupled rangefinder with patented twist wedges. A beautiful, but costly feature.
The offered camera with serial number U 94624 dates from 1950 and has been provided with a Zeiss-Opton Tessar 105 mm/f3.5 with serial number 655817, held in a Synchro Compur shutter with self-timer.
THIS IS THE LAST AND MOST SOUGHT-AFTER VERSION OF THIS CAMERA.
The camera is suitable for 6x9 and 4.5x6 exposures on 120 roll film.
The camera is technically good. Well-running shutter and self-timer. Accurate coupled rangefinder. Neat light-proof bellows. The Albada mirror viewfinder is still without discoloration. The coated Opton-Tessar is clear and without scratches, fungus and separation.
The appearance is worn, but neat: condition B/C. Chroom with minor signs of wear, leather has some touched-up spots "Zeiss bumps" (see photos)
The camera comes with the original bag and a beautiful colour copy of the original user manual (28 pg.)
A sought-after classic collector’s camera, also for everyday use.
