18th century English special pendulum glass - Glass
Beautiful English 18th century garland glass.
Lead composition which indicates English origin, when tapping you will hear an elongated clear sound.
Rare 'Ogee' shaped cuppa.
The stem has a double 'opaque' (white) garland.
The large foot with a clear 18th century pontil, the last contact with the glass blower... There the glass was cut off from the blowpipe.
Dimensions:
Height 14.1 cm
Diameter chalice 5.3 cm
Diameter foot 7.3 cm
Please note that with 18th century glasses the diameter of this should always be larger than the diameter of the chalice.
Condition: chip on the edge of the foot, otherwise intact.
