This particularly beautiful and magnificent holy water font is made entirely of solid silver. It dates to about 1890 and is a manifestation of the most luxuriant designs of the Baroque period. A rocaille and floral motif surrounds the font. Vividly portrayed in the centre is the Mother of God with baby Jesus. The wall of the holy water font is sumptuously designed with, among other things, a beautiful cherub. This is a collector’s piece suitable for a museum.
