In 1980, Volvo conceived a plan to market a plastic bicycle, the Itera. The Swedes wanted to modernize the bicycle by replacing metal with plastic, making the bike more resistant to the Scandinavian climate. Maintenance-free, but light in weight especially. This is a unique item for collectors of things from the 80s, but also for cycling enthusiasts
