Possibly the most famous amplifier in the history of hi-fi, the Quad II was such a success that its manufacturer changed name – Acoustical Manufacturing Company became Quad. 
This set has the very rare MK I version FM tuner with serial 5109 and the very rare AM MK I tuner with cheese wedge knobs. Both still named Acoustical 
For the closest approach to the original sound Quad II are revised with military spec components . Completely rebuild decoder , FM I and AM I ala Keith Snook.
Paper in oil capacitors and high voltage carbon resistors to keep the original sound. All tubes are new in both II's. One new one in the FM I.
All other tubes are fully tested and in excellent condition ( look at the photo's ). All is kept in original condition, no modifications. 
All switches and potmeters are deoxided and lubricated again. 
An original Quad multiplexer decoder for stereo is mounted on the back of the FM tuner. The Quad 22 preamplifier has the original adaptors for tape and PU The AM tuner makes the set complete. 
A very desirable set with original manual and copy for FM and AM.
