Charles Rennie Mackintosh - Cassina - Hill House chair

Hill House is a designer chair that is a homage to the artistic genius of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a Scottish architect, designer and painter who was both a representative of the Glasgow Movement and a leader in British Art Nouveau. Made from ash wood and painted black, it is characterised by the emblematic and also iconic extremely high openwork back with striped and checkerboard patterns. This gives it a slim and elusive silhouette which enhances its volumes, which are eccentric in their dimensional sobriety. With a comfortable seat with cotton padding and pink velvet upholstery. Original CASSINA model, numbered, serial number 7520 (see branding shown in photos) The chair comes from a private collection and was purchased at the Cassina Store in Milan in the late 1980s. It is in excellent condition, practically new as shown in the photos, only the velvet upholstery has become slightly worn on the edges over time. The chair has never been used as a seat, but only as a decorative furnishing. Ash wood frame with no marks or defects. The photos show the object in full detail, and are an integral part of the description. Can't-miss item for fans of design and for people who want to dress up their homes by adding an exclusive piece of designer furniture. Measurements Height: 140 cm Seat height: 42 cm Depth: 35 cm Width: 40 cm Carefully packaged and shipped via courier with tracking (TNT or UPS for Italy and abroad) Shipping costs are to be considered in relation to the large dimensions of the package.
