Figure - avoriolina - 'Water carrier' - Japan - Second half 20th century
Large statue depicting a 'Geisha' carrying water.
Made in the East, in the 1960s, refined by hand and probably made from 'avoriolina', ivory/bone powder and resin, to imitate ivory.
Note the rich details of the dress and hair.
Good vintage condition with a lovely patina, minimal signs of wear.
