AEG MIGNON old typewriter imported from Germany - 1930s

Old Mignon model typewriter. This very old typewriter, from the 1920s/1930s, is very original as it doesn’t have a keyboard. Its principle is based on a mechanism that translates the position you put on the stylus on. These movements cause a cylinder engraved with characters, which then hits an inked ribbon, to type on paper and write the letter or the requested number. This machine was designed for the firm AEG in Germany in 1913. It had many advantages, it was smaller and lighter than a machine with a keyboard, and in particular, it had the possibility to easily change the font by just replacing the character sleeve. The machine is in working condition. The lid measures 35 x 33 x 21 cm. A key closes the case.
