Very nice Khanjar ( dagger) Berber of south Morocco
Beautiful work of metal and wood in the pure Berber tradition.
Weapons were originally used to defend the man. At one time, in Morocco as in some countries, people made it a mandatory complement to their outfits during parties and ceremonies. Among these weapons, the "Khandjar" dagger remains the most common traditional weapon, there are two types of daggers: the straight bladed one bearing the name "Sboula" and the curved blade called "Koumiya". As there are also other traditional shapes, apparently the "Mokahla" rifles accompanied by powder kegs, worn over the shoulder, or "Sif" swords. All these items can be customised and modified by a silversmith, either by inlay of precious stones or by engravings on copper or silver.
