1st half of the 19th century, Turkish-inspired and made of walnut wood also known as MONTAGNE. Main body assembled in dovetail. Bronze hopper ‘moulded, turned’ adorned with two double filets inside. Forged platinum lever as well as the 2 large inner. The notch nut of the shaft is original. The crank is forged and flat. The knob and its fastening plate are original. The lateral moulding plate is cut in W-shape near the grinder. Particularity of the plate: an engraved illustration in the centre as well as an inverted fir tree at its bottom, the wood is mahogany. Everything in this coffee grinder, the wood variety, assembly, decorations materials, drawer knob, type of hopper, nuts, points to a geographical origin in southern Central Europe to the east of the Adriatic. Very rare piece.
