This exceptional bible is written in the Ge'ez language, an ancient South Semitic language that originated in the northern region of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The bible was translated from Greek into Ge'ez in the 5th century. More than 300 pages. The boards are made of almond wood. Dimensions: 16.5 x 14 x 6.8 cm. The cracks in the wood were fixed with pieces of thread a long time ago. These thread have been renewed. The binding show major signs of age, a few pages have come loose. Some pages show old restorations. Sewn with a leather string. Condition: heavily used, but still gorgeous.
