19th-century etching by the French painter and engraver, Louis Henry Dupont, depicting the small village of Vazelay in France. Signed in pencil by the artist bottom right. Sheet size: width 50 cm x height 38 cm. Louis-Henry Dupont was a prolific French painter and engraver of the 19th century; he studied art in Paris with the great painter Jean-Léon Gérime. He was a full member of the Salon des Artistes Francais, where he exhibited his works every year. The work is in excellent general condition, the gold wooden frame bears on the edges some signs of aging.
