Practical set of 4 folding chairs, Italian design. Easy to store. Giancarlo Piretti was the chief designer and head of the development department at Anonima Castelli. Piretti designed the successful Plia folding chair in 1969. The combination of chromed metal and semi-transparent plastic made this chair a true cult object. This folding chair is also on display in the designer department of the MOMA in New York. The Plia won the German Gute Form prize in 1973, among others. Measurements: height is 89 cm, width is 47 cm, seat height is approx. 42 cm and seat depth is 40.5 cm. Seat and backrest are made of plastic. Has some scratches. Refer to the photos for an impression of the current condition. Will be shipped by PostNL within the EU and by DHL for destinations outside the EU. Pick-up in Hilversum (the Netherlands) is possible by appointment.
