MUONIONALUSTA METEORITE. Full Slice!!! Widmanstatten lines. XL. (Sweden, 1906). - 96.5 g
A million years ago, a planetoid of metallic composition and large size crashed into the north of Scandinavia, in present-day Sweden. This meteorite is known by the name of Muonionalusta, and it is until today the oldest meteorite from which there is evidence on Earth. It was discovered for the first time in 1906, and since then it has been possible to recover some specimens, usually of small size.
The specimen of this lot is a complete slice of high quality, of good size and in excellent condition, in which you can see the spectacular Widmanstätten patterns and the fusion crust all around the perimeter. The internal structure of this meteorite is fine octahedrite. A piece worth of a great collection.
We are members of IMCA (International Meteorites Collectors Association), with number #7412. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our specimens. Buy with warranties.
