Sculpture in patinated bronze from the late 19th century, in very good condition, representing Joan of Arc with her sword pressed against her chest, her gloves and her helmet placed next to her, after Marie D'Orléans (1813-1839), daughter of Louis Philippe and Duchess of Württemberg. She studied sculpture with David d'Angers. Most of her works is exhibited at the Museum of Dordrecht in the Netherlands. Stamp of the founder on the back, Susse Frères Paris (see photo with and without magnifying glass). Removable sword. The company Susse Frères was founded in 1758 in Paris, which has earned its reputation in the art foundry. Today, it is the oldest art foundry in France still in operation under the Susse Fondeur brand. Careful shipping with track & trace.
