Very large, rare figurine of a sleeping shepherdess with sheep, made in matte gres porcelain by Lladro in Spain. The figurine with model number ‘01012005’ was designed by Juan Huerta. Original Spanish title: ‘Pastoricita Durmiente’ or sleeping shepherdess. It was introduced in 1970 and was retired in 1981. It is a very large piece and is 45 cm tall, 35 cm wide and 25 cm deep. It weighs 8.4 kilograms. The piece is in good, original condition (without cracks, restorations or chips) and has signs of age and use.
