Large antique coffee mill of the prestigious, Dutch company Olland. In 1853, Groningen Hendrik Olland (1825-1901) started a factory for scientific instruments, weighing tools and merchant balances in Utrecht. In 1927 meat slicers were added and in 1932 electric coffee mills. This coffee grinder was used in the shop to grind the coffee purchased by customers. Performed in a beautiful deep red colour with golden accents and with a beautiful patina. Bean reservoir, set knob for the coarseness and a few more details are chromed. The original jug is not included anymore. Jug in the photo is not included in the purchase. In neat used condition. Operation is not tested, there the power cable is missing. Really a very special item! Due to size and weight, this lot needs to be collected in Elsloo (NL - Limburg).
