Alfred BORREL (1836-1927), French sculptor and medallist. He studied under his father Valentin-Maurice Borrel, Jouffroy and Merley. He earned the Prime Minister Deuxième Grand Prix de Rome the engraving and medals in 1860 (won that year by Lagrange). Médaille third class in the Salon des Artistes Français in 1880, second class in the Salon 1890 and first class in the Salon 1893. Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 1906.

1 plaque is signed Borrel, the other is not.
