A beautiful signed French Barbizon oil on canvas by Emile Jacque depicting horses before a cottage witha  figure in a landscape.  The work is signed lower left and unlined in its original frame. A lovely painting by a well collected painter.

Émile Jacque was the elder son of the painter Charles Émile Jacque. He studied with Gérome and took up many of the same themes of his father, but specialised in horses. He received an honourable mention at the Exposition Universelle in 1889, and a third-class medal in 1901.

    Hello. I separated the frame from the frames for safety during transport. The frame is fragile and very beautiful ... I did not want you to get it in pieces. Anyway, the wood panel with painting was caught with some small nails. If you look at the pictures in the auction you will see that they have been separated. It's easy to assemble them together.
