Adrianus de Bree: born 2 January 1872 in Tilburg, died on 6 January 1945 in Tilburg, he was 73 years old.
Offered here is a quite rare painting of this 19th century art painter Adrianus de Bree, "cows and sheep in the fields at the farm". As mentioned in the Pieter Scheen Lexicon, his genre was painting landscapes and animal scenes. He rarely painted in a wooded area, but also, as the mentioned painting "cows and sheep in the fields at the farm" usually small in size.
The paintings are signed on the bottom right, and paintings from the period 1885 until 1887 which also have been dated. The offered painting "cows and sheep in the fields at the farm" was signed and dated on the bottom right.
In the painting "cows and sheep in the fields at the farm" was painted on an oak panel, Adrianus de Bree manages to convey the landscape and the animals brilliantly to an almost life-like image.
Also the beautiful gold-coloured frame is still the original from the dated period, and enabled the painting to be still in very good condition.
On the back of the painting are some notes from Pieter Scheen Lexicon.
