Fukurokuju, also known as Fukurokujin, is one of the Shichi-fuku-jin in Japanese mythology. He represents life expectancy and wisdom.
Beautifully decorated and painted in red and gold. (Satsuma colours)
Ca. 1850 late Edo period (1603–1867).
