ORIVIT AG was a German metalworking company that made Jugendstil luxury and everyday objects at the beginning of the 20th century. The trademark ORIVIT was registered in 1898 by Ferdinand Hubert Schmitz. In 1903 a factory was built in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. The first products were presented at the Christmas exhibition in the Munich Museum of Arts and Crafts, followed by participation in the 1900 World's Fair in Paris, where the company won a gold medal. The company received additional awards in 1902 at the Düsseldorf Industrial and Commercial Exhibition and in 1904 at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition.
