Antique French 78-card complete tarot cards with box circa 1900. Each card is a work of art . circa 1900 made by the famous Baptiste Paul Grimaud 1817-1899 of Paris. There are 4 suits hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades each suit has 14 cartes 4 picture cards which was normal for Tarot cards. There is another set of 21 cartes each numbered and with 2 pictures on each, which was called the trump and are designed with chromolithigrapic images of everuday French life. These Tarot cards were used as playing cards similar to the modern style of card. They are in amazing condition all complete obviously they have a wonderful colour .The pictures especially on the trump suit are wonderful, The box is in good used condition.
