Zenith automatic 28800 Defy timepiece of 1969. This watch (number 043 E 785) is a collector's piece, being one of the first Defy timepieces produced by Zenith in very small quantity, thus making them truly collectible Zenith watches. The Defy collection features a very wide range of Zenith watches, with the last model (Defy Lab) being the most accurate mechanical watch in the world (0.3 seconds over a 24 hours period). This particular line of water resistant and shock proof watches was introduced by Zenith in 1968 alongside the El Primero models Octagonal steel case, screw-down crown (not Zenith) with double seal, tempered mineral crystal, special locking bezel to provide an extremely effective seal and a shock proof rubber bearing acting as suspension for the whole movement. Water Resistance: up to 300 m Case back featuring the standard Zenith brand logo. Zenith manufacture automatic movement on 17 jewels calibre PC 2552 Brown dial with shades of dark green (see photo) and original luminescent Zenith hands Date display between 4/5 o'clock Zenith original steel bracelet (see photo) The watch is well preserved and in good working order. Overall condition is very good, with only minor signs of wear due to its age. Case diameter: 37 mm. Lugs width: 18 mm No box or papers. Used wristwatch in excellent condition.
