The myth of the 20th century is the title of the political book written by the NSDAP ideologist Alfred Rosenberg. In his book, Rosenberg uses approaches to a racial theory to combine the idea of a "race soul" and a "religion of blood" into a political and religious concept of faith.
It is considered to be the most discriminating work of a leading National Socialist and is considered the most influential besides Hitler's Mein Kampf.

Alfred Rosenberg (1893 - 1946) was a Nazi politician and leading ideologist of the Nazi Party. From 1920, Rosenberg contributed significantly to the intensification of anti-Semitism in Germany with numerous racial ideological writings. During the Second World War, he and his Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR) made raids throughout Europe, especially for the robbery of cultural goods.
Rosenberg was indicted, sentenced to death and executed as main culprit of Nazi war crimes in the Nuremberg main trial.
