Fonderia P. Uccello Napoli - grazing farmer - antimony - Second half 20th century
Outstanding antimony sculpture from the P. Uccello foundry, Naples.
A young peasant plays the horn, while holding a bundle of grass that a sheep feeds on. A very beautiful scene.
The details are very accurate; the sheep’s mantle, the boy’s abs,
hands and face are its strengths. Weight about 6-7 Kg. On the back of the left leg probably a test has been carried out to check the material: some scratches show the underlying grey proving that the sculpture is made of antimony. As shown in photos, the horn is removable.
Accurate packaging and shipping.
