French lever corkscrew Le Presto patented by Jacques Pérille on August 12, 1899. There are several variants of this corkscrew which was handed down from father to son up until the Ancient Ets. Pérille. Made of nickel steel, it consists of five parts: the head with the two characteristic small spheres, the cage, the rod extended by a solid wick that rotates freely in the neck of the cage, a lever and a rod. Easily recognisable, the first models made by Jacques Pérille have a curved rod, while the models of the 1930s made by the Ancient Ets Pérille have a straight rod.
