Kodak 35 mm cellulose nitrate film from Mickey Mouse's cartoon "The gallopin gaucho".
“The gallopin gaucho” was a 1928 American movie directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. It was the second short film in the Mickey Mouse series to have been produced, after “Plane Crazy” and before “Steamboat Willie”; it featured the very first meeting between Mickey Mouse and Peg Leg Pete.
This rare Kodak cellulose nitrate film has been viewed and dated by the George Eastman Museum, and dates back to the 1940s.
It is incomplete and divided into various pieces, but in well preserved overall conditions.
