Rare Tabzimt pendant/buckle, Beni Yenni tribe (Tuareg/Berbers), finely decorated with polychrome enamels, embellished with coral cabochons and eleven identical pendants. This is a rather rare pendant because of its quality of manufacture and its size. To compare it with another similar item, but much smaller and certainly inferior on a manufacturing level, take a look at 'ETHNIC JEWELLERY' published by 'Pepin Press', on pages 16-23.
This is a pendant typical of the high-ranking women of Gran Kabilya (Algeria), who used it as a clasp for their heavy woollen cloaks.
Artefact of high collector's value, particularly rare and prestigious.
