Jeep - Jeepster Commando c101d - 1970

Jeepster Commando c101d first series built and imported into Italy in 1969 as a demo car by Viasa, which assembles Jeepster in Spain on behalf of the Jeep brand that would deliver the pieces. Completely different from the Jeep Commando from ‘73 onwards because the Jeep didn’t send the pieces but they were produced and assembled directly in Spain. This Jeepster is not subject to the obligation of safety belts because it was built and registered before ‘72, it is equipped with all the American components such as full flotting Dana 44 rear and Dana 27 front axles, emergency brake on the central transmission, fuel tank with fill up on the driver's side, gearbox and t18 reducer with 4 speeds plus reverse, short bevel gears, backward steering box, Teflon bushings and mount brackets with 7.5 cm lift plus a 5cm body lift still to be fitted. About 200 units were produced like this one, and to date very few remain in circulation. The Jeepster Commando (Viasa only) is special in that it doesn't have in the sheets the size of tyres in the registration certificate, therefore with this setup you can easily mount the size 33 inches or alternatively the 285 /75 r16. This car can be indicated as a ‘car’, while all the other Commandos on the road in Italy were born as a ‘truck’ and cannot be transformed into a car. It is equipped with slightly more powerful original Barreiros 2000 engine, and with more torque than Perkins. Very good mechanics, everything was checked and inspected, bodywork is not perfect but very good considering it is a 50-year-old Jeep. 3 owners. Shipping costs to be agreed, costs shall be borne by the buyer.
