Offered, one of the first fast-running dental drills (airotor), an atlas copco dental system, developed in the late 1950s. It was a real breakthrough in dentistry, for the first time it was possible to work on glaze in a comparatively painless way. The drill was water-cooled, at that time an innovation the drive of this first airotor was done by a turbine mounted behind the corner piece. However, the tensile force was very limited. This corner piece was controlled by a finger switch. The whole looks good for its age, just a few rust spots are visible on the foot (see photo). The two corner pieces are also present. The same device belongs to the collection of the dental heritage.
