Italian museum quality Genoese/Genoa 18th Century thrusting stiletto knife. The grip of this antique knife is made out silver,ebony,wood and bone. The blade has a long forge edge and a short false edge. The blade shape is designed for both cutting and thrusting it has a chiselled decoration,i cant make out. The scabbard is covered with purple velvet,decorated with silver applications/fittings mounts and has a suspension ring. This 18th Century Genoese knife has its own unique style,was manufactered in the city of Genoa (Italy). The rebuplic of Genoa was a independent state from the year 1005 to 1797 on the Northwest Italian coast. Measures; With scabbard; 14 cm long - Total knife lenght; 13.3 cm - Blade lenght; 8 cm - Grip/Handle; 5.3 cm.
