Beautiful big and heavy statue, after the original by A.E. Carrier Belleuse. The statue is called ' La Paix ' (Peace), lady with doves. The subject is an almost naked woman, partially draped in a long shawl. She sits on a column or pillar with two doves against her chest, which she holds in her arms and which she protects and kisses. At her feet is a vase where plants and flowers flow out. Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887) was a French sculptor. The sculptures he made before 1868 were always signed with "Carrier" or "A. Carrier", after 1868 his signature was changed to "Carrier-Belleuse". Dimensions: - more than 14 kg (fourteen kilograms) It is approx. 60 cm in height.
