Jaeger-LeCoultre - Futurematic - Men - 1950-1959

Jaeger LeCoultre Futurematic, a technological miracle from the 1950s. Jaeger-LeCoultre 'Futurematic' was introduced on the market in 1953 as the first fully automatic watch in the world – a watch that does not have the option of hand winding in its movement. 'Futurematic' shook the watch world not only because of its unique and complicated movement but also due to the lack of crown – adjusting the watch using a screw on the case back. Moreover, a case was also unusual for those times (that is, a case with long lugs), as well as a dial with the so-called owl eyes – power reserve indicator and the second hand. Movement cal. 497 Movement details: Diameter - 31.3 mm Height - 6.3 mm 17 jewels Balance - two spoke Glacydur with adjustment screws Balance spring - Nivarox spiral Frequency - 18,000 A/hr, 2 Hz Gold-plated case. Original dial, not refurbished. Gold-plated hands and indexes. Gold-plated case back. Watch size 35 mm Size with the lugs 46 mm Natural leather strap 18 mm. Total watch length with the strap 23 cm. The pictures are part of the description. The watch will be safely packaged for shipment in a wooden box. Shipping by Poczta Polska (Polish Post). Personal collection is also possible.
