Unique 1956 Ford Fairlane Coupe Fireball Roberts NASCAR racing car tribute.
Nascar legend Edward Glenn Roberts was also known as Fireball Roberts, a name he got in High School because of his pitch speed in baseball. Roberts is one of the founders of the NASCAR races. He started his career with dirt-track races and grew in the direction of NASCAR. He raced with an exact same 56 Ford Fairlane back in 1956, he managed to win 5 major races.
Fireball Roberts died after a big crash in a NASCAR race in 1964. He still ranks 13th best Nascar drivers because of his large number of victories.
This Nascar Tribute Fairlane was built by Tom Kitchen. A famous in the American world of classics. He has built several Fireball Roberts Nascar Tribute cars. Articles about him were written in Hemmings Motor News and his cars were auctioned at Mecum auctions.
Many hours of research have been done in order to build this clone. The Ford is therefore a direct copy. There is a 1956 312 Ford Thunderbird engine giving 260 HP under the bonnet. There’s a manual Ford 3 gearbox behind that. The Ford starts and runs very well. The car gives a lot of power and torque and the Fairlane drives, steers and brakes sharply. Technically in good condition.
Sleek and hard body, beautiful paintwork. The chrome and the stainless steel trim looks very good. Some decals were hand-painted, like on the original.
The car has a detachable roll bar. The rear bench is also removable, but it is useful for touring with friends or family.
The Ford has a few special attributes, including lists of old photographs and a model car of this 1956 Nascar racing car.
This fantastic Nascar clone has a US title. Import duties and VAT have been paid.
If you wish, we can transport the car throughout Europe.
Don’t miss this opportunity to own this piece of NASCAR history!
The car is in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
