Finding remains of a Toxochelys turtle in the Smoky hill chalk of Kansas is a very rare find. This makes this piece exceptional as it includes a big part of the skull, some limb bones, scutes and even a claw.
Part of the skull has been prepared from both sides. The chalk matrix has been solidified and the whole has been mounted on a custom made stand.
Very rare Kansas chalk fossil.

Thank you. The delivery was faster than I thought. The item was as expected.
The seller he has not responded to my emails regarding the provenance of this fossil. The fossil fish was most probably illegally obtained from the fossil site. I recommend not to buy from this seller
