A set of 3 beautiful detailed hand coloured engravings of birds from 'History of the earth and animated nature' by Oliver Goldsmith, Glasgow, Edinburgh & London, Blackie & Son, 1862. It concerns the following birds:
Print 1: white stork, heron, crane
Print 2: seagulls, seagull (gull, skua, tern)
Print 3: red-backed sandpiper, oystercatcher, plover (oyster, dotterel, dunlin)
Condition: very good.
The prints are wrapped in plastic in a temporary cardboard mat for secured shipment. Sometime the reflection of the packaging shows in the photo (unfortunately). The numbers are fixed onto the plastic packaging and are obviously not on the print itself.
(in cm): the overall dimension is approximately 16 x 25 cm. The image is approximately 14 x 20 cm.
