Touch on/off mechanism, all original.

Giotto Stoppino was a pupil of the architect Ernesto Nathan Rogers.
In 1968 he established an independent studio, his numerous works range from architecture, urban planning to design.
Two important highlights: the Compasso d'Oro awards in the 1960s and 1970s, two Golden Compasses in '79 and '89, and present since 1970 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York with the 537 Arteluce lamp in the permanent collection, while the Sheraton mobile from '81 is part of the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. On 12th July 2011 the Compasso d'Oro lifetime award at the 22nd year of the awards.
