2 Beautiful antique closing weights of bronze/brass. The largest one originates from Nuremberg. This a rare weight. Especially considering the condition of the counterweight. Estimated period: 1750 - 1780 Weight is 1823 grams and dimensions 9.5 x 10.5 cm. The smallest has a date of 1723, but I suspect that it is not so old. The connoisseur will know. The characters that are on it tell me anything. The closing weight weighs 633 grams, the height is 7.5 cm and the width is 8 cm. A closing weight was used to, amongst other things, weigh gold and silver. I have added a lot of pictures so that you can easily determine what the condition of the counterweight is.
