When a bid is placed in the last minute of the auction, extra bidding time is added to the clock. This is to reflect what happens in a real life auction, where those who are determined to win the lot have a chance to place the winning bid.

This E-type came in two versions. The fixed head coupe and the 2+2. The latter was recognisable for its rear seat, the more upright standing windscreen and the fact that it was longer. The series 1 1/2 was an intermediate series between series 1 and series 2. All series 1 1/2 vehicles are equipped with the 4.2 6-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts. An engine known for running calmly and for smooth release of power. The series 1 1/2 FHC was built from August 1967. In total, 1,231 units were built of the LHD series 1 1/2 FHC.

This Jaguar is a series 1 1/2 with VIN 1E35805. The last FHC series 1 1/2 had VIN 1E35814 and was built in July 1968. The car has matching numbers and comes in the special colour PRIMROSE YELLOW. Equipped with air conditioning and wire wheels. The car comes from America, registered in the Netherlands and approved by the Dutch Vehicle Authority (the RDW). The car features a new clutch and drives fine.

These E-types are becoming more rare and the 1.5 version is very rarely seen. The 4.2 litre 6-cylinder inline engine runs neatly. The carburettors could use a cleaning and a tuning.

A nice classic look in a very special colour. It drives and brakes like a modern car. It’s a lot of fun to drive and will always increase in value.

The car can be viewed and picked up in Hasselt, the Netherlands.
