Exquisitely executed, solid silver and gold brooch studded with rose-cut diamonds from probably the 1890s, but it could also be earlier.
This luxuriously shiny brooch has the shape of a feather, or rather a branch, of which the stem and all branches and leaves are studded with diamonds: it contains no less than 51 rose-cut diamonds, amounting to approx. 4 ct in total. The main stone measures 5.5 mm, all 50 others vary in size.
The diamonds are set in solid silver and on silver foil, as was common at the time.
The pin on the backside of the brooch is made in 14 kt yellow gold and has an extra gold safety pin to prevent unexpected loss. The pin is marked, but the pin is so thin that the mark partly fits. It is probably a master's sign.
The brooch is in exceptionally good condition, with hardly any signs of wear.
