Object: Telescope (More lots)
Material: Antique Maritime 3 Draw Brass
Estimated Period: circa 1900
Country of Origin: England
Condition: Good condition - used with small signs of aging & blemishes
Dimensions: 5×5×82 cm
Weight: 725 g

Still functioning very well!

Beautiful three draw (plus extendable solar cap) maritime telescope. Covering cap included.

Full length, all draws and solar cap extended: 82 cm
Minimum length: 24,5 cm
Maximum outside diameter: 5 cm

The telescope is in good condition but shows some wear and the leather grip cover is missing. There is a small dent at the ocular end of the main draw. This does not affect the functionality of the telescope. It can be fully extended and adjusted for focusing. There is a minor dent on the covering cap that does not impair its fitting. Both dents are marked in blue in the photo's

The telescope is fully operational and has an impressive magnification. When focused well it gives a clear and very sharp image. I managed to take a photo with my phone through the telescope of the tree outside the window. See last 3 photo's for an impression of the magnification. The haziness and a bit out of focus in the photo's is not from the telescope but from the combination of 19th century magnification and 21st century phone camera. (All photo's taken at same distance from tree with a Samsung S9 on auto setting, no filters applied, no modification of the photos except the cropping of the last one.)

Will be packed with great care and shipped insured with tracking code.
