Willy Ceysens - Sculpture - Moeder met kind

In a good condition, a very unique early work, an aluminium sculpture by Willy Ceysens, Neerpelt Belgium, from the 1970s. His early works of art and sculptures are very scarce, and like this one difficult to find. This is an early 1970s work. This very beautiful sculpture is made of solid sand cast aluminium and is monogrammed with C W. Dimensions: Length 24 cm x Diameter 7.5 cm x height 7.5 cm. Weight: Approximately 1.6 kg. Background information: Willy Ceysens (1929-2007) was a Belgian sculptor and ornamental artist. He was educated as a jeweller, and his father an art painter and jeweller of mainly ecclesiastical art: chalices, candlesticks, tabernacles, and crosses, but also jewellery: rings, cords, but also abstract, almost mythical metal figurines. For him, simplicity is "the conscious that seeks the soul and the meaning of our lives." "An image is a visual expression with a communicating concept without interference in a qualitative performance," he summarises his art. Source: Wikipedia. The condition matches the age and use. Some small stains on the side and underside from a sticker and cork felt. Please study the photos carefully for a good impression of the offered lot. Will be properly packaged and shipped within the Netherlands and abroad by registered mail via PostNL parcel service. Please visit our Catawiki page at catawiki.grooveydesign.nl for more vintage-design lots.
