This lot contains 39 engravings from THE HISTORY OF THE EARTH AND ANIMATED NATURE by Oliver Goldsmith, published in 1832 by Archibald Fullarton in Glasgow. The cover page of this book, which unfortunately was no longer to be restored, is attached.

The condition of the prints is good. Here and there some spots and browning, and sometimes holes in the side from binding the book.

This lot contains engravings of mammals, reptiles, birds, insects, crabs and shells. A nice collection.
