About the work:
The sculptures consist of polylactic acid (PLA) and are degradable in a few months by composting.
All sculptures are either painted or bronzed and patinated. Both the figurines and books are carefully handmade by the artist himself. Each book item contains page 1 of the text to which it refers. These books want to be the little erotic secret of your library!
About the artist:
Dipl.-Ing. Axel Staudinger was born in Graz in 1961. He completed his architectural studies at the TU Graz in 1999. His first exhibition took place in 1983 and since then he has had over 130 more exhibitions at home and abroad. He has applied various artistic techniques, such as sculpture and bronze casting, painting and graphic arts, production and design of illuminated objects, architecture, music and poetry.
